Many men may be concerned about the health of their prostate, especially as they get older. While the prostate gland (which has a role in both sex and urination) grows throughout a man's life, it doesn't typically cause problems until later in life. Conditions associated with the prostate gland include benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH -- also known as an enlarged prostate) and prostatitis, inflammation or infection of the prostate gland.
