Final Thoughts on the Effectiveness of Beta-Sitosterol

Beta-sitosterol has been studied quite a bit. Most of these studies used beta-sitosterol in food products and were designed to measure the effect of beta-sitosterol on cholesterol. It is not really known if it works or is safe when taken in other forms, such as in capsules or tablets. Many of the purported uses for beta-sitosterol have no scientific evidence in their favor.
