Jalyn and Breastfeeding

Because Jalyn (dutasteride/tamsulosin) is only approved for use in men, there is no reason a woman should use this medication while breastfeeding. Jalyn has not been studied in women who are nursing, as this might expose an infant to possible risks. Due to potentially serious problems, women should not use this drug while breastfeeding.

Can Women Take Jalyn While Breastfeeding?

At this time, it is unknown if Jalyn™ (dutasteride/tamsulosin) passes through breast milk. This medication should not be used in any women who may become pregnant, including women who are breastfeeding. Therefore, women should not take Jalyn while breastfeeding. If you are nursing a child, talk with your healthcare provider before taking this medication.
