Prostate Home > Prostatitus

Were you looking for information about Prostatitis? Prostatitus is a common misspelling of prostatitis.

Men who have prostatitis may experience painful or burning urination, urinary frequency and urgency, and pain in the lower back and genital area. There are four different types, which cause an inflammation or infection in the prostate gland. Treatment options will vary, based on which type you have. In some cases, prostatitis can be treated with antibiotics. Having the condition does not increase your risk of developing any other prostate disease, such as prostate cancer.
