Cardura XL is a type of alpha blocker and works by helping to relax the muscles of the prostate and bladder. It comes in the form of an extended-release tablet that is taken once daily with breakfast.
Because this product is not appropriate for everyone, make sure your healthcare provider has complete information on any medications you are taking before starting Cardura XL. Also, you may not be able to take this drug if you have certain medical conditions, such as low blood pressure, liver problems, or a history of a heart attack.
Although many people do not have any problems while taking Cardura XL, side effects can occur and may include dizziness, headaches, and respiratory tract infections. If negative reactions do occur, they tend to be mild and easily treated.
