Rapaflo Interactions

Rapaflo Drug Interactions Explained

The following sections explain in detail the potentially negative interactions that can occur when Rapaflo is combined with any of the drugs listed above.

Blood Pressure Medications
Check with your healthcare provider before combining Rapaflo with a high blood pressure medication, as the combination of these medications may cause dangerously low blood pressure (hypotension).

Certain Antibiotics or Antifungals
Some antibiotics and antifungal medications may greatly increase the level of Rapaflo in your blood, increasing your risk of Rapaflo side effects. Check with your healthcare provider before taking any antibiotic or antifungal with Rapaflo. In general, you should not combine Rapaflo with such antibiotics or antifungals.

Certain HIV or AIDS Medications
Some HIV/AIDS medications may greatly increase the level of Rapaflo in your blood, increasing your risk of Rapaflo side effects. Check with your healthcare provider before taking any HIV or AIDS medication with Rapaflo. In general, you should not combine Rapaflo with such medications.

Erectile Dysfunction Medications
Other medications that are very similar to Rapaflo can interact with medications for erectile dysfunction (also known as ED or impotence), increasing the risk of dangerously low blood pressure. Although research suggests that Rapaflo does not seem to interact with these medications, caution should be taken when combining these medications.

Imatinib (Gleevec)
Imatinib may greatly increase the level of Rapaflo in your blood, increasing your risk of Rapaflo side effects. Check with your healthcare provider before taking imatinib with Rapaflo. In general, you should not combine Rapaflo with imatinib.
